Vision & History of the STIHL brand

Your visit starts at the top level – here we take you on a journey from our company's roots to becoming a global market leader. It all began with the brilliant idea of our founder Andreas Stihl, which was to revolutionise forestry work: bringing the saw to the tree instead of bringing the tree to the saw.

STIHL Products & Innovations

At the innovation level, everything revolves around our pioneering products and the technology, development and production that is hidden within them. The latest high-tech power tools for forests, landscaping and gardens bridge the gap between the technical innovations of the past and new ideas for a sustainable future.

“Forest Fascination” Knowledge Platform

The knowledge platform on forests and forestry is dedicated to the forest in all its facets. Discover different forests at the rotating forest cinema and accompany people from all over the world in their everyday life in nature. Independent experts from science and forestry contribute sound, practical know-how. You will see the forest in a new light.
