The Remstal ULTRA HIKE hike is aimed at anyone who wants to push themselves beyond their limits. More than 80 kilometres and 3,500 metres in altitude are covered - testing one's own physical and mental limits.
This year's Ultra Hike starts and ends at the STIHL Brand World. After the starting signal, the hiking route leads through Weinstadt, Winterbach, Welzheim and Berglen and finally back to the STIHL Brand World. Physical fatigue, the darkness of the night and the challenging route profile all have to be overcome.
Friends and family of participants are welcome to visit the café and the exhibition at the STIHL Brand World from 10 am to 6 pm on both days.

Which sustainable products and technologies are created from the raw material wood? How can wood be used in vehicle construction and how does fashion made from wood fibres feel? And why is wood actually too good for thermal utilisation?
Together with Prof Dr Rainer Luick (emeritus, until WS 23/24 Professor of Landscape Ecology and Conservation, University of Applied Forest Sciences, Rottenburg), Dr Tatiana Spallek (Head of Central Laboratory, Technikum Laubholz, Göppingen), Dr Elmar Beeh (Institute of Vehicle Concepts, German Aerospace Centre (DLR), Stuttgart) we would like to explore these questions at an evening lecture in the STIHL Brand World. Entry is free of charge on this evening.

Forest education in a different way: On Sunday, 27 October, the Forest Mobile of the "Schutzgemeinschaft Deutscher Wald" (German Forest Protection Association, SDW) will be visiting the STIHL Brand World. The vehicle serves as a base station and enables children to explore the forest independently with the help of play materials and research equipment. During the instructive and exciting programme, the children are assisted by experienced forest educators who are happy to answer their curious questions. In addition to the discovery of the forest, children and parents can also look forward to numerous stations around the Forest Mobile, such as sensory boxes, games of skill or the sawhorse.
Parents are welcome to accompany their children - supervision is desired.
The Forest Mobile's programme is aimed at children aged between 5 and 11 - but any interested child is welcome.
